About the Role
As a Wedding DJ and MC with Prestige Weddings & Events, your main responsibility is to create a fun and engaging atmosphere for our clients and their guests. You will work closely with clients to understand their musical preferences and event requirements, and provide high-quality DJ services, selecting appropriate music to complement the wedding's style and vibe. As the Master of Ceremonies, you will guide the flow of the event, make announcements, and keep guests informed about what is happening next. You will coordinate with other vendors and the event coordinator to ensure that the event runs smoothly and according to the schedule. Having a strong understanding of different music genres, excellent communication skills, the ability to read a room, and the confidence to engage with guests are essential for success in this role. Ultimately, as a Wedding DJ and MC, you will play a crucial role in creating lasting memories for our clients and their guests on their special day.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Work closely with clients to understand their musical preferences and event requirements.
Provide high-quality DJ services, including selecting appropriate edited music and creating a playlist that complements the wedding's style and vibe.
Serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the event, guiding the flow of the event, making announcements, and keeping guests informed about what is happening next.
Coordinate with other vendors and the event coordinator to ensure that the event runs smoothly and according to the schedule.
Set up and operate DJ equipment, including sound systems, lighting, and other audiovisual equipment.
Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.
Engage with guests, read the room, and create a lively and fun atmosphere.
Take requests from guests and play appropriate music that keeps guests entertained and engaged throughout the event.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including dress code and punctuality.
Always maintain a professional and courteous demeanor and provide exceptional customer service to clients and their guests.
Maintain good relations and autonomous communication with clients to meet or exceed their expectations.
Schedule a final information meeting 30 days prior to the event to review details, make changes, and ensure a smooth event.
Arrive two hours prior to contract start time for setup.
